IAN MATHERS
Veterinary Surgeon BVMS (Hons) MRCVS
Ian graduated from Glasgow University Vet School in 1997. He has worked in small animal practice since 2002 and has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging.
AVA MARLEY
Veterinary Surgeon BVSc MSc MRCVS
Ava graduated from Liverpool University Vet School in 2001. She has spent most of her career in small animal practice and has a special interest in canine behaviour. She has just completed an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare.

HANNAH HOLLAND
Head Nurse RVN
Hannah has worked in practice since 2006, and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2012. Her special interests include dog training and behaviour, and geriatric patients.
JEN POLDEN
Veterinary Nurse RVN
Jen has always wanted to be a veterinary nurse and was able to study at Plumpton College to obtain her foundation degree in veterinary nursing, qualifying in 2016. She has a strong passion for inpatient care and especially loves feline nursing.
SUSIE MILLER
Receptionist
Susie has worked in veterinary practice for 7 years as a nursing assistant and receptionist. She loves all animals but is especially keen on rats! When not working or being a mum she's busy training for the triathlon season.
SARAH CONNELL-SAIT
Deputy Head Nurse RVN
Sarah joined Vet on the hill in July 2015 and became Deputy Head Nurse in 2017. She enjoys in-patient nursing and weight clinics, and owns a lovely cat called Wilma.
HOLLIE BOND-WEEDEN
Veterinary Nurse RVN
Hollie qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2006. She is particularly interested in critical care nursing, and has extensive experience in veterinary practice.
JOANNE MOLE
Veterinary Nurse RVN
Joanne joined the Vet on the hill team in April 2015. She has a particular interest in in-patient nursing. Joanne has a young family and a lovely dog called Zero
MICHELLE LANE
Receptionist
Michelle joined Vet on the hill as a recepionist in August 2015. She has a cat called Princess and loves all sorts of animals. She is on the lookout for a small dog to add to the family.
EMMA MANNAH
Veterinary Nurse RVN
Emma has worked in small animal practice since 2009 and qualified in 2012. She has a particular interest in animal behaviour. She has 2 cats and a baby daughter, Lillie.
GEMMA AINSWORTH
Veterinary Nurse RVN
Previously a fashion designer for over a decade, Gemma decided to follow her passion for animals and retrain to be a veterinary nurse. Gemma loves in-patient care and nurse clinics and is currently doing an animal nutrition certificate. She has a miniature Schnauzer called Fred Astaire, three cats called Humphrey Bogart, Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando and a rescue special needs Hedgehog called Hetty.
BIANCA DARE
Veterinary Surgeon Med Vet MRCVS
Bianca graduated in 2004 from the School of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany. She has an interest in internal medicine. Bianca has two cats, Lily and Oliver, and a lovely Labrador called Squidge.
ANNIKA CARRAHER
Veterinary Surgeon BVSc MRCVS
Annika Graduated from Liverpool Vet School in 2009 following a previous degree in Animal Science and Welfare. She has spent time in mixed, equine and small animal practice. She is a qualified veterinary acupuncturist and is currently studying veterinary chiropractic. At home she has a rescue crossbreed dog called Roxy who used to compete at agility, until retiring because of injury.
GROVER
General Dogsbody
Grover was a rescue dog and belongs to Ava and Ian. He helps out around the practice when he feels like it. He still has to learn that he cant get through life relying on his good looks.
